JAF-GT, GT3 BoP adjustments made before Fuji 300km

The GT Association (GTA) released their list of Balance of Performance (BoP) changes for JAF-GT300 and certain FIA GT3 vehicles in the lead up to next weekend’s Fuji GT 300km Race at Fuji Speedway.

In the wake of a podium sweep for JAF-GT cars in the GT300 class at Sugo, plus their dominant pace at testing in July at Suzuka Circuit, all JAF-GT300 designation vehicles have had their minimum ground clearance raised by 5 mm. In addition, the internal diameter of the refuelling restrictors have been reduced to 27.5 mm.

These changes are applied to the Subaru BRZ GT300, Toyota Prius GT, Toyota 86 MC (Dome), and the Lotus Evora MC (Mooncraft Engineering). In addition, there have been some weight and boost pressure adjustments to certain FIA GT3 cars.

Mercedes AMG-GT3

  • Minimum weight reduced by 20 kilograms to 1315 kg (from 1335 kg).
  • Air restrictor diameter reduced to 34.5 mm x 2 (from 36 mm x 2).

Porsche 911 GT3-R

  • Minimum weight reduced by 15 kilograms to 1230 kg (from 1245 kg).

Audi R8 LMS

  • Minimum weight reduced by 5 kilograms to 1255 kg (from 1260 kg).

Lamborghini Húracan GT3

  • Minimum weight reduced by 5 kilograms to 1285 kg (from 1290 kg).

BMW M6 GT3

  • Some boost pressure adjustments (yet to be disclosed).

Ferrari 488 GT3

  • Some boost pressure adjustments (yet to be disclosed).
