Round 2: Fuji GT 500km Race – BoP Tables

The GT Association (GTA), sanctioning body of the Autobacs Super GT Series, has released the Balance of Performance (BoP) tables for the upcoming second round of the 2017 season at Fuji Speedway, the Fuji 500km on the Golden Week holiday of May 4.

The Balance of Performance for the GT300 class is tuned by the GT Association and the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) to ensure a level playing field between the JAF-GT category vehicles and FIA GT3 category vehicles, as well as each vehicle in the two categories.

Here are the full list of BoP adjustments for the GT300 class. Changes from the previous round will be highlighted in RED.

The Lexus RC F GT3 gets a 15kg increase, up from 15kg to 30kg of BoP weight. The weight increase is offset by larger diameter air restrictors – up from 38mm to 40mm.

Eight other GT3 cars get BoP weight decreases.

The Mercedes-AMG GT3 goes from 25kg to 5kg of BoP weight, a decrease of 20kg.

The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 goes from 40kg to 25kg of BoP weight, a decrease of 15kg.

The Audi R8 LMS goes from 25kg to 15kg of BoP weight, a decrease of 10kg.

The BMW M6 GT3 also gets a 10kg weight decrease, going from 30kg to 20kg in BoP weight.

The Ferrari 488 GT3 goes from 15kg to 5kg in BoP weight, a decrease of 10kg.

The Porsche 911 GT3-R decreases from 20kg to 10kg of BoP weight.

The Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 gets a 5kg weight break, going down from 15kg to 10kg of BoP weight.

Both the BMW and Bentley get significant boost increases throughout the powerband. Nissan gets a slight boost decrease throughout the powerband. The Ferrari gets a slight increase at 6000 rpm only.
