2018 Chang Super GT Race: Weekend Schedule

The fourth round of the 2018 Autobacs Super GT Series takes us to Buriram, Thailand, and the Chang International Circuit, for the series’ only race contested outside of its native Japan. Here are the start times for each session of the Chang Super GT Race:


CHANG SUPER GT RACE – WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Saturday, 30 June

  • 10:00 – 11:45: Practice (1 hour, 45 minutes)
  • 15:00 – 15:35: Qualifying Session 1 (15 minutes x 2)
  • 15:45 – 16:13: Qualifying Session 2 (10 minutes x 2)

Sunday, 1 July

  • 13:25 – 13:45: Warm-Up (20 minutes)
  • 15:00: Race (66 laps)

Even without the FIA F4 Japanese Championship or the Porsche Carrera Cup Japan, Super GT has a very unique group of supporting races for the weekend! One-make races for various Honda and Toyota production vehicles – including the Toyota Hilux pickup trucks!

JAPAN

A late(r) start than normal for those watching on the J Sports family of networks in Japan:

  • 12:00 – 13:45: Practice (1 hour, 45 minutes)
  • 17:00 – 17:35: Qualifying Session 1 (15 minutes x 2)
  • 17:45 – 18:13: Qualifying Session 2 (10 minutes x 2)

Sunday, 1 July

  • 15:25 – 15:45: Warm-Up (20 minutes)
  • 17:00: Race (66 laps)

UNITED STATES – EASTERN

With Jenson Button leading the GT500 Drivers’ Championship and Jann Mardenborough returning to a track where he’s excelled, it could be a big day for the UK contingent in Thailand:

The return of Felix Rosenqvist and Andrea Caldarelli, the debut of Maxime Jousse, and some big races ahead, potentially, for the likes of Ronnie Quintarelli in Thailand – it’s all worth watching for the European audience:
