2018 Fuji GT 500 Mile Race: BoP Tables

On Wednesday, the GT Association (GTA), promoter and sanctioning body of the Autobacs Super GT Series, released the Balance of Performance (BoP) tables for the upcoming fifth round of the season, the Fuji GT 500 Mile Race at Fuji Speedway.

The Balance of Performance for the GT300 class is administered by the GTA in association with the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) for the FIA GT3 category cars, with all other BoP adjustments handled by the GTA.

Positive changes such as boost increases and weight reductions will be highlighted in GREEN. Negative changes such as weight increases and boost reductions will be highlighted in RED.

The Mother Chassis cars receive a 30 kilogram weight reduction across the board, down from 50kg of BoP weight in Rounds 3-4.

The biggest BoP weight breaks come for the Honda NSX GT3s, which get a 20kg reduction, and the Mercedes-AMG GT3s, which get a 15kg weight reduction. The Porsche 911 GT3-R, Lamborghini Huracán GT3, and Audi R8 LMS GT3s all get 5kg weight reductions.

Meanwhile, the 2015 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3s get a 10kg weight increase, and both the 2018 Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 and the Lexus RC F GT3s get 5kg weight increases.

From the previous round, the Subaru and the 2018 Nissan GT-Rs remain unaltered. The 2015 Nissan GT-Rs get a boost decrease of 10-40 mbar throughout the powerband, while the Bentley gets a big, big increase from 4000-6000 RPM – up as much as 100 mbar at 4500-5000 rpm.

The Honda NSX GT3s give a little bit up at 5000 rpm to get 20 mbar more boost at the top of the powerband. The BMW gets a slight boost of 10 mbar in the middle of the band.
