The seventh and penultimate round of the 2018 Autobacs Super GT Series at Autopolis circuit will move from its previously scheduled date of October 13-14, back one week to October 20-21.
The announcement from the GT Association (GTA) was shared by Toyota Gazoo Racing ambassador and Lexus Team Wako’s LeMans team director, Juichi Wakisaka, on Tuesday afternoon.
The date change was made to avoid a clash of dates with the FIA World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Fuji on October 12-14, and will allow Toyota Gazoo Racing drivers Kazuki Nakajima and Kamui Kobayashi, who also compete full-time in Super GT, to compete in both events.
