Round 3: Super GT in Kyushu 300km – BoP Tables

The GT Association (GTA), sanctioning body of the Autobacs Super GT Series, has released the Balance of Performance (BoP) tables for the upcoming third round of the 2017 season at Autopolis circuit, the Super GT in Kyushu 300km.

While the GT300 Balance of Performance will take up most of the changes, the Super GT in Kyushu 300km will also see a significant change for the sole mid-engined GT500 machine, the Honda NSX-GT, which gets a substantial weight decrease for the next round of the championship.

Here are the full list of BoP adjustments for Round 3. Changes from the previous round will be highlighted in GREEN for performance buffs or enhancements, and RED for performance nerfs or detractions.

At 41 years young, Yuji Tachikawa still has the incredible speed, the resolve, and the ambition to keep creating a legacy as one of the greatest drivers in the history of the Autobacs Super GT Series.

The ace driver of Lexus Team ZENT Cerumo continued to re-write the history books thanks to a historic, milestone-setting week at the Fuji GT 500km Race a week ago, in which he helped lead his team to victory in last week’s Golden Week race at Fuji International Speedway.

With his record-tying 18th career win, Tachikawa, in his 21st JGTC/Super GT season and his 19th with Cerumo, may be the greatest driver the series has ever seen – especially in terms of longevity and sustained excellence.

Bandoh’s Fuji 500km Press Conference: “We support pure competition on all levels”

On the morning of May 4, before the Fuji GT 500km Race, GT Association (GTA) chairman Masaaki Bandoh gave his customary Super GT pre-race press conference, updating the media and the fans on the latest developments within the series.
