2018 Sugo GT 300km Race: Weekend Schedule

Super GT and Sportsland SUGO have combined to create some of the most thrilling and exciting moments in Japanese motorsport history. In its 25th successive season on the calendar, the 2018 Sugo GT 300km Race promises more of the same awesome entertainment that Super GT fans have come to expect.

Here are the times for all sessions of the 6th round of the 2018 Autobacs Super GT Series:


SUGO GT 300km RACE – WEEKEND SCHEDULE

Saturday, 15 September

  • 9:00 – 10:45: Practice (1 hour, 45 minutes)
  • 14:00 – 14:40: Qualifying Session 1 (10 minutes x 3)
  • 14:50 – 15:18: Qualifying Session 2 (10 minutes x 2)

Sunday, 16 September

  • 12:25 – 12:45: Warm-Up (20 minutes)
  • 14:00 – 16:00: Race (81 laps)

A lean support bill for this event at Sugo, with Rounds 9 and 10 of the FIA Formula 4 Japanese Championship on standby. Can Kazuto Kotaka mount a charge on Yuki Tsunoda’s championship lead? The 15-lap races start at 12:55 JST on Saturday, and 9:00 JST on Sunday morning.

2018 Sugo GT 300km Race: BoP Tables

On Monday, the GT Association (GTA), promoter and sanctioning body of the Autobacs Super GT Series, released the Balance of Performance (BoP) tables for the upcoming sixth round of the season, the Sugo GT 300km Race at Sportsland Sugo.

These changes include an update to the minimum weight of the GT500 class Honda NSX-GT.

The Balance of Performance for the GT300 class is administered by the GTA in association with the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO) for the FIA GT3 category cars, with all other BoP adjustments handled by the GTA.

2018 Sugo GT 300km Race: Entry List

On Monday, the GT Association (GTA), promoter of the Autobacs Super GT Series, released the entry list for the sixth round of the 2018 season, the Sugo GT 300km Race at Sportsland SUGO.

A 43-car grid will be present as Sugo celebrates its twenty-fifth consecutive season on the Super GT calendar, with the 15 GT500 cars joined by a field of 28 GT300 cars.
